A wind turbine rotor that converts energy from the wind consists of a number of blades with aerofoil sections that turn the rotor due to the lift forces created by the wind. Most of the wind turbines, particularly the Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWT) have 3 blades. However, two bladed and even one bladed turbines have also been manufactured.
