Plant Load Factor (PLF) is used as a performance indicator of a windfarm project or a wind turbine and is computed as the ratio of energy generated in a given time period by the project or wind turbine to the energy that could have been generated if the project or wind turbine were continuously running at full capacity (Rated Power)during the same time period. Annual PLF is calculated as follows: PLF = (Annual Energy Output (AEO))/(Rated Power X 8760). PLF is usually used and described in per cent (%)
